TUI, Thomas Cook Want to Increase Web Penetration: Midst the Q4 financial reports issued by the country’s two largest travel entities, TUI Travel and Thomas Cook, lay a common pursuit: both companies want to drive more direct sales online. For TUI, UK online sales have reached 50 percent, and its goal is to increase that to 60 percent by 2017. Thomas Cook, which last year reported online sales that comprised 36 percent of overall sales, is aiming for a 50 percent online share next year.
